It is an exploit and it only exists because of CCP trying to fix the MWD CLOAK WARP trick. Good job.
People have been abusing it for a long time, check Gank Bangers low-sec kills, a lot of those using this. Hundreds of jump freighters and freighters.

It's crazy it took this long for you to do anything about it - also the change you did to fix mwd cloak warp is really annoying just in general gameplay, having to wait for my BS to slow down because I had to pulse my MWD. Oh the joy. |

This has been happening since 2009 and GMs didn't give a shi t then.
CCP's rule of thumb on classifying exploits: if less than 25 percent of EVE know about it, it's not an exploit.

It's been reported to GMs kind of a lot of times, the problem is GMs have a notoriously poor understanding of game mechanics.
You'd hope that in 4 years they'd have grasped what people were reporting to them though.
It took an extra bunch of people figuring it out and an evenews24 article before they could grasp it though.
Maybe if GMs dont understand they should raise it to someone that does, or ask for clarification before saying it is explicitly NOT an exploit. |
